Why Moong?
Because every Indian already knows what the rest of the world is still waking up to.
Moong has always been the OG superfood in our kitchens, long before the word “superfood” even existed. The queen of the pulses. It’s what moms fed us when we were sick. What went into our khichdis, our cheelas, our dals, and our sprouts. Light on the gut, rich in nutrients, and ridiculously versatile, moong didn’t need a rebrand. It just needed a spotlight.
When we set out to build ItsMoong, we weren’t looking for trends. We were looking for trust. And we realised there was no better place to start than right here, with the food our bodies have already spent lifetimes learning to digest.
Moong is rich in protein, low in fat, low in carbs, and high in soluble fibre. It’s gentle on digestion, with a low glycaemic index, and is packed with iron, antioxidants, and folate. It’s plant-based. Gut-friendly. Sustainable. Ayurvedic, And as Indian as it gets.
We didn’t invent a superfood. We just gave it the stage it deserves.
So the real question is Why not Moong?
Let's Break it Down
